    About this opportunity:The Muirhead Outreach project is an early intervention charity that works with families to keep them together through difficult and challenging times. Their aim is to minimise the impact of trauma on families and help them break the cycle.

    As a trustee for the organisation your role will involve providing good governance and support for the staff team and project. The Board meet a minimum four times per year and attend various fundraising events throughout the year. The MOP board of Trustees are looking for new members and whilst all you really need is enthusiasm about our work and to share our values -

    Most of the board members have full time jobs as well as their volunteer role as Trustee.

    -We meet a minimum of 4 times a year (face to face if possible)

    -We attend and help with fundraising events

    -We have access to training and development opportunities

    -Once a year we host an AGM

    -We are aware of Muirheads plans and goals and support the team towards achieving them

    Oh - and we eat cake - lots of cake!

    Takes place:

    Sundays

    Training provided:New trustees will be expected to complete mandatory training that is specific to the role of trustee which shall include child protection and Fife Voluntary Action trustee training. This will be completed online in the trustees own time but with the support of the rest of the Board. Trustees also have access to additional training and development opportunities within the team and peer support is provided by the rest of the Board.
    Experience required:No specific requirements for experience were provided by the organisation.

    Restrictions on who can volunteer
    As we support young people we need people with a little experience as a trustee

    Travel DetailsThe meetings happen in our office at Pentland Court, Glenrothes. Occasionally we may ask for support at events in and around Glenrothes.
